Summer Camps - BMX & Skate Camp

Life skills meets actions sports! The Freewheel Project summer camps are all about building the future leaders of our community. By blending leadership development courses and financial literacy with action sports we are able to attract hundreds of kids yearly into our summer camps. 

A major goal for the Freewheel Project is to increase the access of action sports with our youth and we do this by providing low entry costs of $20. The Freewheel Project provides all of the necessary equipment through the course of the camp and at graduation all of our campers earn their very own action sports equipment, allowing them to utilize action sports facilities around the community. 

B.A.R.S. – Behavioral and Academic Restoration through action Sports.

Intensive mentoring can be a chore for most middle school students, but not when you bring action sports into it! The B.A.R.S. program is a 6- month intensive mentoring program aimed at improving academic outcomes, lowering substance abuse rates, empowering young people through leadership development, and imparting the skills of action sports. Through The course of this program students are assigned tutors for academics, undergo leadership training, substance abuse education, and weekly time with action sports mentors at community parks. Our summer camps the Freewheel project provides all necessary equipment to participants, and all graduates receive their very own professional equipment.
